“In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence

of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

― Luke 15:10

Have you ever imagined the celebration Heaven has when one person comes to know the Lord?

When one sinner repents, there is “joy in the presence of the angels of God.” Maybe this wording doesn’t evoke images of celebrations in your mind, but just pause to think about how an angel would respond to joy. We aren’t talking about a human response. This is an ANGEL filled with JOY! We can imagine this is quite the sight to see!

Throughout scripture, it is clear that the most important mission we could accomplish on Earth is to glorify His name by spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. Take this scripture for example:

“…but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit

has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses

both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,

and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

Acts 1:8

What is interesting is that this verse doesn’t say that when the Holy Spirit comes upon us we spend forty days and nights worshiping on our face before Him in the prayer room. It doesn’t say that we spend all our time reading the word and preparing bible studies for other Christians. While both of these things are wonderful while done in the right time and in the ebb and flow of our walk with God, this scripture clearly states that when the Holy spirit has come upon you, you shall witness and be a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ!

What is more is the locations that are listed! There is a clear trajectory of hometown to cities farther away, and then to the most remote parts of the Earth. How incredible for the Lord to challenge us in this way. That He would give us His Holy Spirit to guide us, comfort us, and speak to us, then send us into our own neighborhoods, cities, and then to the ends of the Earth.

“Declare His glory among the nations,

His wonders among all peoples.”

Psalm 96:3

Expect Hope has been lead by the Lord to specific places and to specific children. We have set out to declare His glory to the nations and His wonders among all people!

Our desire is to see to it that Heaven celebrates more and more as children give their lives to Jesus Christ. We desire to not only see these children come to know the Lord, but also to reach anyone we encounter in Albania, Nepal, and in our own backyards.

How incredible is it to know you are celebrating with angels when a soul comes to Lord in repentance! We have an incredible opportunity to bring hope to a world that is hopeless and bring light to the darkness! Be encouraged that you were placed on this Earth to perpetuate Heaven’s Celebration!
